ABOUT US

The purpose of the Latin American Business Association (LABA) is to organize and unify business owners in the South Florida area to: advocate for businesses on a regional, statewide, national and international basis; provide valuable and permanent member services for the improvement and success of their businesses; generate increased levels of business from outside our community provide overall leadership on relevant business issues as well as community economic development issues; generate increased levels of business between members and directors.

In 2008, several dedicated business-owners realized the enormous potential of the South Florida business community and envisioned the need for an organization to represent its interests before the public and private sectors. Those founding business leaders formed a structured organization aimed at developing a business network that would provide the South Florida community with cohesion and strength. Since its inception, LABA has worked hard to bring the issues and concerns of area businesses to the forefront of the state and national economic agenda.

LABA strives for a business environment that is healthy South Florida, in the following areas:

• Legislative
Tracking pertinent legislative issues and taking action for members through advocacy.

• Education
Providing members information of the many changes in the South Florida business landscape. From new business regulation issues to new business trends.

• Communication
Bringing top business and political leaders to speak on various issues at every monthly member meeting. Providing informative quarterly newsletter and monthly website newsletter on the latest South Florida trends to the membership.

• Community Support
LABA is a volunteer organization administered by a board of directors that meets monthly.
